The world nerd has completely changed from what it was a decade ago. Most people now use to to indicate that they like games/comics (which is just about everyone on earth). I still kindof connect it with a dorky kid with glasses and a calculator that always does his homework.
To me a nerd is more of a book smart person, a geek is anyone who is obsessed with anything, and a dork is just someone who is goofy.
